Our Story is likely not that different from others. I first started swinging hammers around the age of 11 when my dad hired a carpenter to teach my brothers and I how to build a storage shed from the slab up in our backyard. I earned my gas money in highschool by rehabbing rent houses right here in shreveport. 

 

My formal education consists of a B.S. in Construction Management from LSU. Upon graduation I worked for 18 months as a Project Manager for a Home Improvement Contractor in Baton Rouge. I took a detour, enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and spent the next 4 years sailing the high seas on the USS Iwo Jima, which was based out of Mayport, Florida at the time. 

 

After my enlistment, we moved back to Shreveport, I spent a couple of months reacquainting myself with civilian life and made the move to open Port City Remodeling. For me, working as a Home Improvement contractor is the perfect storm of physical labor, mental challenges, work potential, and enjoyment. 

 

My goal in operating this company is to add value. To you, our clients, to the employees I serve, and to Shreveport as a whole. Yes, we are a for-profit company, and I do enjoy working for an income. That said, if I'm not creating value at the end of the day, it won't be worth it.
